High-Rise High Heat

highcondoThough the overall temperature of a high condo may be cooler at night, they are usually prone to too much heat from the sun when it is at it’s warmest. The large glass doors and windows of today’s condos are good for light yet the amount of UV that gets in can damage/fade furnishings and carpets among other things. Get some reflective window films to give ordinary glass some reflective coating that will take out the UV but still lets in the light still saving on power for your lamps during daytime.
Save on electricity by simply opening the windows and door to let fresh air in if possible so you save on air-conditioning, but be sure you’re not getting any smog for if your location is too congested.
There are air filtration units that can handle condo spaces that will filter out dust and other contaminants from the air that unlike air fresheners that simply mask odors, really gets them out. Some even have add-on filters with activated carbon for odors or even a bio-filter mesh that kills germs and viruses floating around. Air conditioning units also come with filters that would function the same but they will tend to clog up more so better to have a separate filter instead. Keep your air-conditioning units maintained so they perform efficiently and cost less to operate. The vents and other holes on the casing should not be covered to allow proper ventilation which makes it run better and cool faster allowing better air circulation.
